Late afternoon and mid-morning snack ideas

The best way to avoid an energy slump in the morning or afternoon is to prevent it from happening.  Get that metabolism going with smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day.  Make sure you don’t miss breakfast, otherwise you will be playing catch up all day!  Check out this link for mid-morning ideas for snacks.  And this one for avoiding the late afternoon slump.

Of course, a well-timed activity program can also jump start your metabolism as well.  Don’t be afraid to schedule shorter duration, higher intensity training sessions throughout your day.  If your schedule can afford it.  If you only have time for one session per day.  Make sure it counts, but don’t let it linger too long . . . you may drain too much energy out of your system.
